Ždrijac Beach
Ždrijac Beach
Ždrijac sandy beach has the unusual shape of a sandbank which creates a view as though the beach is hugging and concealing the old heart of ancient Nin. The beach is ideal for ‘picigin’ (the local sport played with a small ball) and bathing for children, adults and lovers of adrenaline sports. Thanks to the favourable winds it has become a popular centre for those who love windsurfing and kitesurfing as a form of active tourism. For beginners and those who want to refresh their sporting skills there is also a water sports’ school. When the wind begins to blow, which is almost every day in the lagoon, kites adorn the sky above the historical islet very quickly. This sight looks like a game, whilst passionate lovers of the increasingly popular kiting enjoy their acrobatic stunts, walkers enjoy the view, and photographers take exceptional pictures. Therefore, it is no surprise that Ždrijac beach, as well as the Queen's beach, has been listed by ADAC amongst the 10 most beautiful beaches of the Adriatic.
